The NIKON RifleHunter 550 Laser Rangefinder (8367) combines Nikon’s trademark speed, accuracy and simplicity with Tru-Target™ technology designed to give hunters the confidence to make long-range shots - especially in difficult situations such as shooting up a mountainside or down into a canyon.
Nikon's advanced ID Technology compensates for various incline or decline shooting angles - up to a ±89-degrees of angle, providing the estimated distance that the bullet will actually travel. The hunter simply aims, pushes the button and plans the shot according to the displayed distance.
The RifleHunter 550 displays distances in 1/5-yard (.2 yard) increments under 100 yards when in ID mode and 1/2-yard (.5 yard) increments under 100 yards in standard mode. Beyond 100 yards, the Nikon 550 Rangefinder displays in one-yard increments. The Nikon RifleHunter 550 also features long eye relief (18mm) an adjustable diopter and 6x, bright, multicoated optics. Like all Nikon rangefinders, the new RifleHunter 550 operates on a single CR2 lithium battery.
