With 90 years of sport optics experience in its pocket, Nikon has engineered its new Monarch scope line to overcome many of the limiting factors common to many of today's rifle scopes - and to challenge the limits of optical science, as well. While still maintaining the American-preferred one-inch diameter main body tube, Nikon engineers developed the Nikon Monarch 6-24x50 SF Riflescope (8429) not only to provide the shooter with a big, bright, sharp sight picture, but at the same time minimize the overall length of the rifle scope - and maximize the mount ring spacing capability. The resulting line of rifle scopes pushes the envelope of optical performance with Nikon's lead-and-arsenic-free Eco Glass lenses and trademark Ultra ClearCoat anti-reflective multicoatings, is fast-handling, pleasing to the eye and very importantly, allows for mounting on virtually any rifle - even magnum-length actions. This scope features a locking side focus knob on the left side of the adjustment turret. This ergonomically-positioned control allows for precise parallax adjustment maintenance at virtually any range from 50 yards to infinity. The riflescope utilizes Nikon's precise, repeatable, hand turn reticle adjustments and feature the company's new Interchangeable Turret Technology system, which allows shooters to switch out turret knobs and caps for maximum convenience and versatility. It also offers 1/8-MOA adjustments and can be customized with accessory target-style windage and elevation adjustment knobs and caps.
