Both of these Q.D. mounts permit optical co-alignment with sights, such as the Aimpoint or EOTech that may be mounted in front of the night vision scope. GG&G's Low Q.D. mount was designed for use with the GG&G FIRE System Scout Rail. With this combination of components, the ITT 6015 or PVS14 viewing image will clear the AR15/M16’s front sight post and the unit itself will have sufficient clearance over our MAD or A2 Flip Up Rear Sights. For those who prefer to mount the ITT 6015 or PVS14 directly to a flat top receiver, the Tall Q.D PVS14 mount will provide the necessary optical clearance over the front sight. When an EOTech is mounted directly to the flatop, the GG&G Tall PVS14 QD Mount will align properly as shown in the photograph below. When an Aimpoint is mounted in front of the Tall Q.D. PVS14 mount, one of our Cantilever Rings will be required to clear the front sight post and provide proper eye relief for the night vision/Aimpoint combination. These mounts are fully compatible with MIL-STD-1913 dovetails. All parts are manufactured from ordnance steel and aerospace aluminum and are finished to mil spec.
